Welcome to Tales From the Bottom Drawer

Every writer has one, or two, or a thousand short stories that have been orphaned. These stories may have been orphaned for any number of reasons, there just isn't a market currently available for it, it's a story that you have since rewriten so many times that the current version and the original version no longer bare any resemblance to each other and you've tossed the older version aside, or it may be a story that you're just not as happy with as you want to be and have put it away to ripen in the dark recesses of whatever receptacle that you happened to have tossed it in. Just because these stories have been cast aside, for whatever reason, does not mean that there is anything wrong with them. It simply means that they haven't yet found a home. In an attempt to rescue these poor orphans from their ghastly fate, we have opened our cyber home to them so they can at long last be given the reading they deserve.

Here you'll find a selection of some of these orphaned tales from a dusty bottom drawer. If you like what you read, please drop the author a quick email letting them know what you liked about the story. Feedback of any kind is always appreciated. As well, if you'd like to reprint any of these stories, please contact the author directly, or drop us a note, here at Tundraco's Guide for the Frustrated Writer, and we'll pass your request along to the proper party. As always, please remember that all of these stories are the property of their respective authors, reprinting any of these stories, or any material on this website, without permission is an act of copyright infringement! And there is nothing that frustrates a writer more than to find out that someone has copied his work - without permission and without payment. If you are unfamiliar with the basics of copyright law, you'll find a handy primer online at: Lawgirl's Copyright Basics.
